Our participatory training workshops integrate research findings and analysis with practical on-the-ground organizing and campaigning skills. Majoritarian Messaging
Our Majoritarian Messaging workshop maps how political elites use ‘culture war’ polarization to win, how challenger movements often inadvertently play into our opponents’ strategy, and how we can instead frame a popular ‘bottom vs. top’ polarization — the many vs. the few — that unites across differences and puts our powerful opponents on the defensive.
The Populist Moment
Our Understanding the Populist Moment workshop examines the historical forces that have led to the present moment; how growing economic and racial inequality, the insularity of the ruling class, institutional failure, crisis, and popular discontent are realigning American politics — and how to navigate this shifting terrain.
Organize Media
to Win
Our Organize Media to Win workshop explores how to integrate good communications strategy with good organizing, power-mapping, and political strategy. We get concrete about how to develop powerful story-based strategies to win the hearts and minds of workers and the broader public. And we dig in on how to effectively disseminate compelling messages through earned media, paid media, social media, and peer-to-peer and worker-to-worker communication.
Contract Campaign Communications
Our Contract Campaign Communications workshop focuses on communications strategies and techniques specific to the needs of workers and unions engaged in contract campaigns. Highlighting lessons and best practices from successful contract campaigns, we focus on how to build, project, and wield worker power before, during, and after strikes and negotiations.
Beyond the Choir
Our Beyond the Choir workshops explore how grassroots organizations, movements, and campaigns can persuade, mobilize, and organize broader social bases — and the obstacles and internal dynamics that often stand in the way of doing so effectively.
