Training
We provide a suite of training workshops related to strategic communications: how to frame popular messages, how to give an effective interview, how to work the media landscape, contract campaign communications, and more. Then we work with you to make a plan to get your organization, union, or campaign from where you are now to where you want to be — setting realistic and ambitious goals to build your group’s communications capacities and increase your effectiveness.
Narrative Strategy
We help organizations and campaigns develop strategic values-based narratives to activate their people, win popular support, and pressure decision-makers. We provide narrative audits of current contract, electoral, and issue campaigns. That means we support our partners in evaluating and rewriting their campaign messages. For new campaigns, we can help map the rhetorical landscape and build a strategic campaign narrative from the ground up.
Research
Our messaging guidance is grounded not only in decades of organizing and campaigning experience, but also in our research program. We are continually testing different messages with different constituencies, as well as synthesizing the findings of other researchers in the field. And we can work with our partners to test specific messages with specific audiences.
Coaching & Leadership Development
As a follow-up to training and narrative audits, we can coach and mentor communications staff, candidates, and other leaders on implementing their strategic communications plans and delivering their messages effectively.
